Minelab Explorer SE Professional

The Full Band Spectrum (FBS) circuit automatically transmits multiple frequencies simultaneously. The increased frequency range means that the signal received from the detector coil is analysed from a wide range of responses. This allows the Explorer SE Professional to analyse more target information so that the Target Identification (ID) is more accurate.

Ground balancing is automatic with Minelab's advanced digital filtering. Whatever field conditions you encounter, from dry clay to wet black sand or rich loam, Minelab will find what you're looking for. Minelab's unique FBS technology means deep, sensitive, accurate detecting.

Minelab Explorer SE Menus

Explorer SE Professional Features:

SHIFT BUTTONS: Pressing and releasing a shift button next to an icon on the display will select that option
IRON MASK: Turns Iron Mask on/off, switching between Iron Mask and using Discrimination Patterns. Iron Mask is a basic Ferrous Discrimination.
POWER: Turns the Explorer SE Professional on/off and when held for 2 seconds, restores factory presets.
NOISE CANCEL: Automatically selects the quietest, most stable channel for detecting.
MENU: Brings up the MAIN MENU at any stage of detector opertion. This allows access to the various settings of the detector.
PINPOINT Turns Pinpoint on / off. Pinpoint assists in locating the exact position of a target prior to recovery.
BATTERY LIFE: Indicates the battery charge available.

DETECT: Returns to the detect display at any stage of operation, allowing you to continue detecting. When in the detect display, pressing DETECT will switch between Smartfind and Digital.
BACKLIGHT: (Liquid Crystal Display) The backlight provides greater screen clarity in dim conditions. Even if it is switched off, the backlight illuminates for 1 second as the detector is switched on. Contrast of the LCD can be adjusted.
BACK: 'Retraces' your steps back through the displays. This is useful to alter the last adjusted setting. The BACK button will retrace the last 3 steps.

Gain – The gain is now a numeric function that precisely sets the overall sensitivity of the detector. In areas where search conditions are mild, you can increase gain. Conversely, decrease gain in mineralized areas. Our sophisticated Gain control used in combination with other functions such as Timings, Audio and Ground Balance enhance the performance of your detector.
Sensitive Timings - With 2 new sensitive options, the GPX4500 offers dramatically reduced "hotrock" signals and false ground noise in "hot" ground conditions (Smooth Timing), and extra depth on large targets in "mild" ground conditions (Extra Timing).
Ground Balance Type - The GPX4500's new specific Ground Balance mode will make detecting "very hot" ground easier than ever before (especially when using Mono-loop coils).
Response - Deep large nugget signals can be made more audible with the GPX4500's new response function. By inverting normal target response, deep large nuggets will produce a signal closer to that of smaller nuggets, giving you a more familiar and hence more identifiable response.
Motion - the GPX4500 will automatically optimize detecting performance based on the GPX4500's sweep speed set by the operator.

Volume Limit – The volume can be set to reduce loud signals without compromising signal strength.
Waist Belt - The GPX4500 padded waist belt makes wearing the battery harness ultra-comfortable.
