Welcome to Metal Detector Saver, the UK's leading alternative metal detector brand. Founded in 2025 by Piotr Lesniewski, we started with a simple but powerful belief: everyone should have access to quality metal detecting equipment with more choice and competitive pricing.
As passionate detectorists ourselves, we recognised an opportunity in the UK market. Many traditional dealers focus on specific brand partnerships, which can limit customer choice and keep prices high. We decided to take a different approach.
What started as a desire to offer more options in the UK market grew into our mission: to provide direct access to quality metal detectors that we've personally tested and used here in the UK. We source excellent equipment from manufacturers worldwide, particularly from China, ensuring British detectorists have access to a wider range of quality options.
Meet the Founder
Hi, I'm Piotr Lesniewski, founder of Metal Detector Saver. As a Scottish metal detectorist with over 10 years of experience, I've seen the hobby evolve tremendously. I now specialise in bringing Chinese-made metal detectors to the UK market, recognising their growing quality and value compared to traditional European brands.
My journey began on the beaches and fields of Scotland, where I learned that success in metal detecting isn't just about having the most expensive equipment – it's about having the right tool for the job. This philosophy drives everything we do at Metal Detector Saver.
When I'm not testing new detectors or helping customers find their perfect machine, you'll find me out in the field with my loyal detecting companion – my dog who's become quite the expert at spotting promising locations!
